Lyrics - I keep a close watch on this heart of mine

Left hamstring niggle seems to have moved to my left quad this morning. Not sure what's going on there but I'll keep an eye on it and get on the foam roller. Entered the Erewash Half so would just like to keep the miles up for another couple of weeks before having a lighter week leading in to that.

What:               easy miles/MLR - whichever the legs dictate
Why:                marathon miles
Last hard:        deciding which version of overnight oats to make for my breakfast
Last rest:         15/7

Yesterday's lyrics - Back On The Chain Gang by The Pretenders.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Hammy behaved, track yesterday. Planned on some easy laps to see if there were any real issues. A bit tight first mile, but eased off and managed to hit a couple of decent tempo miles without any problem. Will take it easy into the weekend and see how Saturdays track goes.

    Morning!

    Lyrics are familiar...so that's a no.

Wabo: you've thrown me with the Assembly League...always thought it was the first Thursday of each month! Enjoy! Get lots of points!!

    Be careful, Dustin! And LMH!

    What: probably the gym later

    Why: all I can manage
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

I Know alehouse it is usually but maybe something is going on at V park next Thursday? I am 4 points clear but the two below me are way faster, I need them to not turn up lol!

  • Good luck Wabo.

    Good news Dustin.

My leg is behaving very strangely Alehouse - I'm beginning to wonder if it could be nerve related as I've managed to upset my back/shoulder doing some gardening - but seems happy enough to run if I can ignore the fact that it feels weird. On my run today I had funny feelings in the hammy, quad, hip, glute and inside of knee but the leg worked fine and feels no worse and if anything better for the run.

Hope you can find some kayaking company OH - was there a kayaking event/meet up over the weekend?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Evening!

I was going to go for a reasonable length walk but it was somewhat shortened by getting soaked. Sunny when I set off!  Burnage parkrun area. Paddling in places.

An hour in the fitness suite this evening, although still at a low level of effort.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Another paddle today in less flat conditions. Just grey seals today.
    7.7 with group this evening.
Sunny but with a bit of wind.
