So my wife and her work colleague started the couch to 5k app last Nov, working up to the British Heart Foundation 10k at Blenheim Palace. Since they did this, it really inspired me to start running, so, yesterday, i started the couch to 5k app.
My wife came along to help me and we ran to Sports Direct so i could get some clothes to help me start off.
I had been going to the gym for the last year, so I have SOME level of fittness. The app is very good and i hope that i persevere.
I later found that there is a Poppy Run near me, which i am tempted to sign up too. This will be week 4 of the Couch to 5k training, so know that i will probably end up walking some of the run.
But doing this give me a target to aim for and a marker on how much i improve should i run it again next year.
