So I am running the Birmingham Half Marathon next Sunday.
4 weeks ago I got a strange groin ache after a 10 mile long run, all was well and good until this point. Since then my longest run has been 5k and my mileage dropped to 12km a week. I have been seeing a Physio for the last 2 weeks to release a tight hip flexor. And I've been using a foam roller/more stretches.
With still some soreness from my last Physio session I am planning to run 10k tomorrow which will be my last long run with a few short runs next week to stay fresh.
Does anyone have any advice on previous experiences when going into a race with poor preparation due to injury?
No doubt my groin will will be sore to run on but I will have to just get through it.

Yes I have conceded that my time will be irrelevant. Which is fine as this is my first HM so my goal is just to do it.
Also aware that if my groin gets too sore I'll be walking sections of it
