Who would have thought it?
Today I ran 200 metres without stopping, then walked a bit then did 100 m then did another 200 metres. I have not managed to go this far before. My legs can do it but I just couldn't get the breathing right.
I read somewhere that you should breathe in for 3 and out for 2 but when I tried it, I ended up thinking about the counting and forgetting to breathe at all. I tried 2 in and 1 out but it just didn't work. Breathing naturally didn't work because after 30 seconds or so I just forgot to breathe again.
What seems to work - at least for now - is inhaling hard and blowing out hard fairly rapidly. Controlled gasping if you like. I'm sure as I get fitter and start to run further I will have to adjust things, but for now I am very pleased.

My legs can do more, but my lungs 'say No' after a few miles.
Any other tips?
