Morning!

Lyrics: Long time ago in Bethlehem
So the Holy Bible say

A very Happy Birthday OH! Here's to many more.

What: unsure

Why: weather/Achilles/large part of day at the Burnley v Watford footie.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

  • Morning.

Yesterday's lyrics - The Hounds Of Winter by Sting.

    Happy Birthday OH.

Hope the plumber fixed it chicksta.

It looks as though we're in for a few days of challenging weather running wise at least - I suppose it will give me time to marzipan the cakes.

What:           hopefully a LSR with P
Why:            he's working away the next couple of weeks and is keen to get one in
Last hard:    looking at the forecast
    Last rest:     30/11

    Lyrics - yes.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning again!

    What: 1.5k slip sliding away

Why: at 8:30 got a message to say parkrun was on. Cancelled by the time I arrived. Correct decision but should have been made much earlier, not that I am critical: the event depends entirely on volunteers and once you criticise volunteers you don't get any!

Hope you got the LSR in, LMH!

  • Morning

Chick: i hope you are warm and plumber fixed your heating!!

LMH: I hope you could manage a LSR this morning!

    What 5 miles on treadmill
    Why: Too icy outside
    Last hard: treadmill and weather
    Lyrics ; Yes

So that takes me to 50.6 miles for the week -yay
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • Wow, fantastic weekly mileage, poppy.

    Happy birthday OH.

Snowy here too.  But it's melting as soon as it hits the ground.

Heating man fixed everything last night.  Phew. We have really complicated underfloor heating system plus solar panels on the roof and sometimes the software that controls it all just packs in.  A bit like a blue screen on a Windows  computer :)

    What: 5k only
    Why: cutback week
last hard: guess heating man's bill will be a shock...
    Last rest: Wednesday
    lyrics: yep
  • I had to be a little inventive about the route and we did a fair bit of trail but we managed 20 miles which was more than I thought looking at the forecast/conditions. We are currently forecast 12 hours of snow tomorrow so who knows what will be possible for the next few days.

Glad you weren't without heating for long chicksta. The snow wasn't settling here today either despite a few showers which were heavy at times.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    hiya
Sorry to hear your mum is still poorly Wabo, hope she is soon back to full fitness
what - 3 hours Christmas shopping & 16.5 miles mostly off road
why - blitzed the majority of it, and needed a longer run
    last rest - 30/11
    last hard - today
lyric - oh yes, it's that time of year for it...
  • What: Fast track re-acclimatisation - Wideford Hill in snow
Why: about time I started running again
    last hard: White painful toes
last rest: depends on how rest is defined
    lyrics: yes

thanks for all the good wishes (new age category and free bus pass!)
  • I need a word about the bus pass, OH! Can you put a word in for me please? Those in Scotland,  Wales, London, Liverpool and a few other places get their passes at 60; I will be well over 65. Don't understand a system that is so unfair! Where are you up to km-wise for 2017? Hope it is achievable! Glad you got the lyrics: number one sixty years ago!

Burnley was cold...and that was inside! Not the best hospitality package, but hey, hardly a major issue.
