Available Post Operative Treatments?

Re:HAGLANDS.

After various unsuccessful treatments, my heel was operated on and the excess bone shaved off and the tendons pinned back into place.

I saw the NHS Physiotherapist today and was told that the only form of treatment available on the NHS was self healing, as they have moved away from any form of electrical treatment etc.

This sounds more like a money saving issue, or am I being too cynical? Has anyone used a Compex SP machine to aid recovery?
