Donating old running trainers

Does anyone know where I can donate old running trainers? 

I've seen a few collections over the years for developing countries which I thought was a great idea, but I don't know of any at the moment.

If anyone knows where I can donate them then I have a few, thanks.

I take mine to the local shoe bank. Those that are good enough to sell go to a charity shop. Others will be sent abroad to be sold, repaired or used in places like refugee camps.
