Newport is also found in Cornwall, East Riding of Yorkshire, Essex, Glos, Shropshire, Somerset, Newport Pagnell, Devon, Dorset, Norfolk, Fife and Caithness for that matter. Who'd have thunk?
Being from Boston myself, I'm pretty sure it will be the flattest as that whole area of Lincolnshire is flat for miles. Manchester is fairly flat though and the extra cheering and support you're likely to get might be a better pb-buster
Manchester is lovely & flat but Dubai is flatter: the only gradient climb in Dubai is a speed bump. I've run both & enjoyed both....so if you fancy a run in the sun or a run in the rain you've got both covered. Enjoy
Try the Camp Bastion course (but now closed); Boston is definitely flatter than Manchester; Strava users record 0 feet! It is drained fenland throughout and if you want some variation deviate onto the ploughed fields that are all around. (Jumping over cabbages is another option)
Good luck to whichever is the flattest, although I doubt flattest = fastest .... except when flattest is also shortest of course (take a bow Manchester).
26 miles of your legs doing exactly the same thing on a big concrete pancake is extreme. I would imagine that flattish with some variation i.e. undulation would be faster for most people. And of course some marathons have a net drop (e.g. London) which can help times.
