Monday 5th February 2018 - You let me into your life on a whim

Morning.

Lyrics - You let me into your life on a whim

That's quite a race schedule RFJ.

Cold here this morning and snow forecast for tomorrow, it looks as though the winter hasn't finished with us yet:-(

What:            easy miles
Why:             it's what I do
Last hard:     looking at the forecast
Last rest:      24/1

Yesterday's lyrics - How Bad Do You Want It by Don Henley.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

  • Morning!

    Lyrics: no

    What: 10000 steps

    Why: all I can do

Not good weather for my builders!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Ale frustrating but at least you are on your way to getting some answers.  I hope the appointment goes well tomorrow

Did a 26 min parkrun on Saturday.  Started off well, but started to feel really sick around 3 km so eased off.  Followed by a weekend in London.  Started feeling really sick on the train on the way home (thought it was travel sickness) and still feel really sick now :(

What: meant to be running club but will reassess this evening
    Why: depends how I'm feeling
Last hard: travelling back yesterday whilst feeling horrible
    Lyrics: nope

Some great long runs going on this weekend.

OH glad you are having some family time.  Hope the walk was good yesterday

    Have a lovely day all.

    Morning
Emz - some kind of bug?
Ale - training run with a number. Usually run it as progressive 5s, or sometimes jog 10, run 10. Ultimately it's just another training run. What may influence is that Saturday is the final Hampshire XC league race. I'll probably have an easy run round, but I have been known to score in the last race of the season owing to low turnout so there is a certain obligation to put some effort in.

    What - easy lunchtime miles
    Why - recovery
    last rest - 15/12
last hard - Long Saturday I guess

  • Em That sounds like a  bug of some sort!
I woke up to the same feeling sick and not been able to run coconut water is helping.

    What: hour on bike
    Why: see above
Last Hard: Not being able to run
    Lyrics: Nope
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • What: mud in the park (mickle brook, Bramhall Hall)
    Why: stretch the legs
    Not much running just now
    Lyrics no

    morning all
heavy weekend that saw my streak kept alive by the skin of my teeth and prosecco last night!!
WP sorry to hear you are unwell and not running :-(
dustin enjoy the chilly easy lunch time miles
    emzap wish you better
    alehouse, enjoy the 10,000 steps
    LMH enjoy the easy
what: 1 mile this morning and another later
why: it's what I can do at the  moment
    last hard: last night
    last rest: 31/12/16
    have  a good day all

possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
  • Hope you're OK, em. Same for you, poppy.

10000 steps is better than nothing, ale.

It's going to get really cold here too for the next couple of days. At least no more snow forecast and for a change no wind either. I think I can cope with that.

What: 3k on the treadmill followed by my gym routine of kettlebell swings, weighted squats and deadlifts
Why: it's what these old bones need to stay healthy
    Last hard: sleeping
    Last rest: 17/12
    Lyrics: no

  • Afternoon!

What: walked about 5k which was a fair chunk of my 10000 steps for the day. However, probably too much...

Why: quite a bit of discomfort in the back during the second half. Not surprising I suppose given it is fractured!

Thought your walk might be muddy, OH! I had to take a detour as they appear to have opened a flood gate: view of Fletcher Moss (normally grass and trees for those who don't know)...wasn't walking through that!

Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Hope you're soon feeling better emzap and Poppy.

It snowed for the first couple of miles of my run this morning but thankfully only lightly and we haven't had any more during the day.

Well done for sticking to your gym routine chicksta - you're inspiring me.

Hope your back has settled after the walk Alehouse.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
