20 miles yesterday, steady away with hills 3hrs and 10 mins. Got really hungry about 16-17 miles so stopped at a shop to buy flapjack or something with belt pocket 'emergency £2', the shop only had sweets and chocolate. Haven't bought a chocolate bar from a newsagents for many years, I felt like a young kid agan when buying a Snickers, can't believe how much they are these days 75p, and I'm sure they are smaller, there was me thinking 40p for a Snickers was the going rate. And they should be called Marathon. I live in the past.
What: Six miles at lunchtime Why: Make sure it al still works and run to topical debate via Jeremy Vince show on radio. Lyrics: ?
Morning all Too right Benjy - chocolate bars much smaller (so 1 is never enough) what - easy run plus U11 coaching why - recovery day last rest - 15/12 last hard - Tuesday
Stunning day yesterday , up around Victoria Park and the Olympic Stadium for just short of 11 in glorious spring sunshine. To think I was running in snow two days previously... The Fleet Half cancelled last Sunday is now scheduled for April 29th: the week after London and the week before Brecons marathon. I think that will be a "recovery" race! Oh and the first 1500 of the track season is on Monday 30th... Thought they did well, rearranged the race, offering name transfer and if neither of those work a 25% discount for 2019.
What: hopefully a few km Why: I need to get back out there but I have such bad blisters standing hurts Last hard: job stuff...thought it'd be over once I handed in my notice, but no one has acknowledged that I've handed in my notice... Lyrics: nope
Chick glad your Dad is on the mend.
Sunny and warm (forecast) here today so would like to get out.
Dustin, sounds like good organisation.
Ben your posts make me smile
Chick there's snow in Hessen this morning, hope you avoid it.

What: AM: 90 min recovery ride PM: Gym tonight Why: Staff 70.3 and no running (7 days to go!) Last hard: Not running Last rest: 15/03 Lyrics: Nope
Easy bike, keeping HR very aerobic. I am away at a wedding this weekend (leaving tomorrow night). I want to keep training but the pool/gym will be about an hours walk from where I am staying. Only 15min by bike and 10 min by car..... hoping maybe my BF's Dad can drop me/pick me up.. or I can convince my OH to come with me. Living close to family is great, but it sure cuts into consistency training. Pity I am not running yet.
Ill check in laters
Good choice in Choc Benjy- Sounds like a great run!
The snow may stay in Hessen, em I think we're in luck. Just drizzle here. Sorry your job woes seem to continue. They probably think that ignorance is bliss...
Top race calendar in April, Dustin
Benjy: nice 20 miler. I live in the past too. I'm German and I never accepted the Euro. I still calculate everything in DEM And Twix used to be called Raider over here. Just like M&Ms were called Treets back then
Poppy: 8 miles is good going when tired.
LMH: Hope you get the planned miles in.
It's official: I can no longer stand the treadmill. Only did 10k on it today and 5 of it fast(ish) to make time go quicker but I very nearly lost the will to live. There's never enough air in that gym. Hope I get to run outside again tomorrow.
What: 10k on the TM and 30 mins of S&C Why: foul weather Last hard: every step on the treadmill is - I'm so done with them..... Last rest: 18/3
I hope you can get outside too chicksta. Though the weather has been awful I think I've managed all but two runs outside.
Alehouse - I'm hoping that the cold is at least in part responsible for my lack of pace.
Benjy - if you can refuel on a Marathon part way through a long run you're an ultra runner in the making:-) I buy the four packs when they're on offer for £1 but actually prefer the smaller size.
Hope you feel better soon Wabo. It is strange how we all seem to have bad sleep at the same time, maybe it's not just my age!
That is a mad race calendar Dustin.
What caused the blisters emzap? Hope you can get out.
It started bright and nice here but went a bit grey and breezy whilst I was out - why is it the wind always seems to pick up as you're getting tired and running in to it? Still, another LSR in the bag. One more big week hopefully and then I'll be moaning about the taper.....
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
What: Raise via Stick Pass then almost Helvellyn (shied off due to high winds) 4 mile recovery run later why: In Keswick last hard: either haviving to turn back from summit or later recovery run last rest: come on! we're on holiday - Latrigg Fell Monday, Blencathra Tuesday, Derwentwater (run) and Buttermere (walk) Wednesday ... lyrics: as usual no

Last time M and I were together we ran London Seems like yesterday and hard to believe he's gone. Tragic. Hmmm Carpe that diem or whatever but really it is all too short What: Spin Why: Mixing it up and no time for a run Last hard: Copping out on treadie yesterday Last Rest: Last Wefd Lyrics: yes

Nice work, LMH.
I'm usually in the can't sleep club together with you guys but I guess the events of last week caught up with me an knocked me out. I slept OK
I was typing so long on my post earlier that I missed Wabo and Dibs.
Wabo: Hope you feel better
Dibs: Enjoy the wedding, although things do sound a bit hectic... never easy to juggle training and socialising.
And my sleep is poor at present: the only time that the back seems to cause much of a problem now. Must discuss with physio tomorrow!
