    Safe travels, Poppy

Yesterday's lyrics were Alive,  Empire of the Sun

What: undecided. Tempted by LSR but given yesterday's MLR I should probably just do something short
    Why: I  running
    last hard: Thursday
    last rest: 18/3
    lyrics: yes
  • Morning.

That was an early start Poppy - have a nice time.

How long is this secondment going to last RFJ? It doesn't sound good for you.

    What:         short and easy
    Why:          it's needed
Last hard:  waiting for warm weather
    Last rest:   6/3

    Lyrics - yes.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning

Sc I meant to say yesterday sorry about your friend

Ale, interestingly I had a compeed on and a second blister had formed on top and around the first under the plaster.

    What: gardening
Why: slightly lost my running mojo at the moment plus we have the gardening help.
Last hard: running: not for a while

    You off anywhere nice poppy?

    Have a lovely day all

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

What: brisk walk whilst watching parkrun. May go to the fitness suite later

Why: can't run yet, but feel I'm getting closer
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

LMH - until Aug 11th unless they make it permanent or extend.....!!!

Great morning today - 25 min pacer duties at parkrun, 24:53 so happy with that. some miles before and after too.

May go out later for an easy few before tomorrows 20m. Take care

    Ale: sounds positive. Fingers crossed.

    Perfect pacing,  RFJ.

Em: sounds painful.  I get blisters on the treadmill.  Every time :(  they're normally dried up the next day so nowhere near as bad as yours.

Well,  I threw caution intro the wind and ran 17 miles today :)
I think I got away with being cocky...  Started very slow,  gradually got faster and finished strong.  Loved it
  • Great chicksta!

I'm guessing you could say no though RFJ?

    I hope you're right Alehouse.

Good weather for gardening here emzap.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Hiya
LmH - yes, looking forward to the taper, the sessions are box ticking at the moment.
Looking forward to a big mileage Easter then backing down. Oh and what ALe say, after your HM pb!!
RFJ - the upside to more easy miles later is...???
    Good luck tomorrow.

What - easy miles then track with our coach (a V65)
    He wanted 3x400 + 200 in 85 & 40. So 400 fast, 100 walk, 200 faster, 500 walk recovery. 3 sets. 83 / 40 / 82 /38 / 82 / 38 so at least kept him honest! about 6.4 miles all in.
Why - Nice leg stretch ahead of 16 trail tomorrow.
    Last Rest - 15/12
    Last hard - Tuesday
  • AH: The vertebra fracture, really sorry to hear that, really harsh, do hope recovery goes as intended.

Was supposed to get out today, if not for a run at least to gym for leg press machine sessions, had to see a man about a dog today and sorting out attic room for cousins coming to stop, 7 hours to go yet to see if it is a confirmed rest day. Will have to make up tomorrow lunchtime run.

What: Attic sorting, see a man about a dog (nod nod), run? gym session?
    Why: Don't like rest days
Last Rest: 25/12/16 (if intoxicated mild robot dancing isn't classed as activity)
    Lyrics: Hell yes!

Have a good evening chaps, nearly time to taper.

  • 25/12/17 last rest day, sorry no run results in gibbering nonsense.
  • park run then Gt Gable (from Seathwaite via Green Gable, down via Styhead)
Weather too good to waste (but legs now mashed for tomorrow's 13)
    Last hard - the descent!
    Lyrics sound familiar but no
  • 963 photos now on Loch Katrine Running Festival FB page - I guess that was a busy day last Sunday
