So, I started running on 28th April this year, with the C25K app. I’m on week 7 now, so I have done 3 sessions of running for 25 minutes each. I’m really pleased given that I haven’t done any proper running since about 2006 (and I’m turning 40 this year). I’m enjoying it and I haven’t been sore at all afterwards, just a bit knackered sometimes! I’ve feeling more energised though and the mood benefits are great.
Anyway, in my 25 minutes I am only covering 1.77 miles or so. Is this really slow? According to the app, I am supposed to do 5k in 30 minutes in a couple of weeks. Obviously that’s not going to be happening, but I was intending to finish the app and be able to run for the full 30 minutes.
I wonder what I should do next though. Keep running for 30 mins 3 times a week and try to improve the pace? Or increase the distance and stay at the same pace? And is 3 times a week enough to improve?
I’d love to hear any advice or other peoples’ experiences!

> to built up your speed stretching up your body before the run is very important
