Marathon training / programme ...

just to get some opinions ive been working to this marathon training programme ... what seems strange is after a long run on sat its directly followed by another shorter run on the sunday ... ? :| i know after doing 16 - 20 miles my legs would be like jelly so to run next day would seem like great fun ... ;)

(intermediate runner with some experience id say, can comfortably run 10k and the odd half marathons with a bit of extra training but this will be my 1st marathon so wanted to follow a plan ...)

    That's a recovery run on your schedule so should be done at a very slow pace.  For a beginner's marathon plan I would suggest that the recovery run is optional.   If you don't want to run on the Sunday then do the run on the Monday instead.
