I like to run quick but get injuries!

Hello I am training for the brighton half marathon and hopefully flm if i get in!? I used to run at Phoenix running club as a lad and so my cardio is good, I can run 14-15kmh as acomfort pace but my legs tighten after about 1 hr. What can I do to stop this-weight work??

  • Reading between the lines, are you getting back into running after a longish break? If so, then take it easy! Cut back to 45 minute-ish runs, then build up by no more than 10% per week. Some light strength training may help, but your legs need time to re-adjust to the pounding they are getting.
