Running with Phlebitis

Hi Everyone.
I have been training for York marathon, (Oct 14th) and in the last two weeks I have been diagnosed with superficial phlebitis. It appears to be on the mend now, but has anybody actually ran 26 mile whilst having it? Am I risking any permanent damage?
