I had been carrying a slight glute/hip niggle during my training, this past week it seems to have worsened. I don't think it's too bad & I think a good sports massage should sort it (I'm seeing my physio on Wednesday). The race is in 2 weeks I was wondering how I should handle the taper...a few easy runs or complete rest? During today's run it felt quite tight but nothing more, however it reacted quite badly afterwards with a soreness in the glute medius, hip and groin. At the minute Im thinking I should just rest completely but slightly concerned about how much sharpness I will lose.
