Side stitch or strained abdominal

On Sunday I was in a 10k race, I was pushing very hard and in the last couple of km I got what felt like a side stitch. Rather than slowing I just pushed on. However I am now finding a few days later it is still sore (no where near as bad as at the time). I have been trawling the internet to try and work out if you can post side stitch pain or if I have maybe picked up an upper abdominal strain.  I ran Monday and had a bit of a twinge, I ran again Tuesday (a bit faster) and it was sore at point (more than Monday). I am going to take a couple of days off now (boo!) but would be interested to know if other s have had this after hard races.  Worth noting it has happened before but not for a while.
