Calcaneal Osteotomy

I'm lined up to have this operation and a metertasal osteotomy in January. I'm expecting a long lay off, but wondered if anyone has had this done and how their recovery and post operation running has gone? 
Any experience shared woukd be great. I've ran all distances and just want to understand the real post op impact. I've currently got high arches and had tendon repairs this year.
