Saturday 8th December 2018 - I came from the hills with a tear in my eye

Morning.

Lyrics - I came from the hills with a tear in my eye

It was wet and windy here earlier, woken in the small hours again, but the rain seems to have gone through for now so hopefully it will just be a windy run rather than a wet and windy one. Hope Wabo and any other racers get better conditions.

Time to check in SC - how are you doing?

Any progress with your knee Donaldo?

What:            short and easy
Why:             why not
Last hard:     sleeping
Last rest:      27/11
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

    Lyrics: no

Yesterday's were "Watching the Detectives", Elvis Costello.

    What: gentle parkrun

Why: long run of the week! Will take it gently as still not quite right. May well get wet.

Shopping this pm then Team Alehouse Christmas dinner this evening. May well get wet on both the outside and the inside.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning again!

Enjoy your race, Wabo! Could be muddy!

parkrun duly completed, 25:47. Wet. Wore three tops and tracksters, hat and gloves. Enjoyed it: always best when you are passing people all the way round! Thought of Emz just after the 3k point and hope she pops in later!

  • It is windy here but fortunately dry and not too cold.

    Enjoy your evening Alehouse.

Hope your OH had better weather Wabo.

I got wet too. And it's a day of dancing wheelie bins. Anyway, short run completed. Another disrupted night but I managed to fall asleep again in the early morning. Thank God it's the weekend and we've nothing planned.

You're right, LMH. Time for SC to stick his head arond the door. Hope he's alright🤞
Sorry to hear you're not sleeping well either.

What: a little short of 5 miles
Why: exhausted but not running makes me feel even worse
    Last hard: yesterday
    Last rest: 9/11
    Lyrics: no
  • Poor turnout at parkrun today (17) which meant I came in at #4 (26:44).
Lots going on at this time of year I suppose.
    Last hard: yoga on Friday
    Last rest: Thursday

Somehow it got to Saturday without me noticing.  I thought I'd posted Wednesday and Thursday, but must have forgotten.

Thursday did a nice easy 6 km.

    What: 100th parkrun :)
Why: I finally got there (8 years, 5 in a country before they had parkruns, 23 different courses, 5 countries!)
Last hard: I don't think I do hard any more.  Though physio on Wednesday was PAINFUL.  Turns out that leg pain was aggravated by bashing my back on the bed whilst painting leading to tight oblequie and iliopsoas at the front on the left.
    Lyrics: nope

Ale that Father Christmas comment made me laugh, South Manchester this morning?  Enjoy the party!
    Wabo 20 press-ups!  I managed 5 last night...
Ben hope you feel better soon.
Dustin hope the knee recovers soon.
Chick good news about the contract, not so good about the sleeping.

    Have a lovely evening all
