Morning.
Lyrics - Some people laugh in the dark
Another chilly, foggy start here but due to turn into a nice day, hope it doesn't take too long to do so.
Sorry to hear about the tooth pain Wabo, not nice.
Hope you enjoy the race RFJ.
What: MLR or LSR
Why: depends on Mark's plans
Last hard: keeping going for another seven weeks could be hard
Last rest: 27/1
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Enjoy xc OH.
Winchester 10k report... an early start for a race at 0830 so we left the house at 0645..... very cold so donned the gloves, buff and extra T... then off for a warm up.... simple aim, to be comfortable, and beat swindon 10k time of 49:33..... Jnr was also racing and wanted a sub 45... he demolished that with a 41:45... (I can go off youth sometimes esp with no trg)....
the route was undulating with plenty of hills but nothing hard, I wanted consistancy and got it...... mile splits were,7:48, 7:42, 7:42, 7:44, 7:28, and 7:32, with teh last bit at 7:22 pace as well..... no leg drag issues at all, so reaklly happy and crossed the line in 48:03 after going through half wat at 24:05, so even managed a faster second 5k.... dance, dance dance.... and a scary pic of us both at the end. Absolutley chuffed.... so 4 weeks of hard trg to get that down again for Limassol 10k....
Alehouse, gosh yes football not good!!! Hope you enjoy your short run today
Lmh hope you had a good run, sounds like tough times, hope not
Chick some progressive run going on!! Wow
Oh how the xc was good. Rfj and junior, brilliant running! Great pic too
Hazel I saw lots of cyclists on my run, hope you enjoyed
What 2.15, longest run so far
Why training
Last hard that was
Last rest 31/12/16
So the right foot went dead pretty soon, I dealt with it by stopping and stretching about 3 times. It tells me that Brighton is going to be like that, and slow. Not an option to not run now so that's ok.
As soon as I stopped the teeth started. So this week I have some issues to deal with dentist and podiatrist. Joy.
Currently chilling and doing absolutely nothing.
Good that you were able to get your long run in despite the issues Wabo.
Sounds as though you enjoyed the race RFJ.
Well done RFJ and Jnr.
Nice work Wabo - sorry to hear about the teeth issues though. Sounds painful. You too Chick.
Hope xc went ok OH.
How were your runs LMH/ale
I got out for the usual 5k. It was most pleasant. Felt good even if it was a bit slower. Weighday tomorrow. Hopefully haven't put on another 1.6lb!
What: 5k
Why: the road is long, 5k long
Last hard: temptation of new Garmin
Last rest: yesterday
Well done RFJ & Son
How did you get on OH?
Nice 5k Ale and decent mileage Hazel.
Chick, nice session. Not sure I understand 15miles with last 5 miles at 5k pace (if you can run it for 5 miles, its not 5k pace...). Even last 5k at 5k pace would be hard after 12 miles!
Yesterday was just shy of 18 in glorious clear blue skied sunshine.
Today was the final Sunday XC fixture. We'd already won the league but managed to win both mens and ladies again today to put the others firmly in their place!
Stuck around for tea, cakes and a big cup!
... but reasonably good run for me.
1 runner in senior men and 2 in veteran women.
We have a problem continuing to attract numbers ( to run round muddy fields in the middle of winter)
Els got 2nd veteran female after running 2 of 6 races.
Tea and cakes afterwards (last in series)
Credit to RO who still carries on (now in his late 70s)
Well done RFJ and jnr. Nice picture.
