Garmin Forerunner 35 - Does it display current pace and duration while running?

Looking for a watch for my wife for use in races. Simple requirement is to have a timer that she can start when the run starts, will show her duration, and can stop when the run finishes. And, possibly more important to her, is to see her current pace (eg. 6.27 minute mileing) to allow her to speed up or slow down accordingly. Her primary use will be in local Parkruns. The Forerunner 35 fits the budget at around £100 but I can't tell from the blurb if it shows her current pace or some preset figure that she has to enter before the race. I don't think the latter would be any good for her.
Or can anyone suggest a different model Garmin that might be better?

Yep, it can.

When it comes to data fields, you’ve got two customizable pages.  Each page has three metrics on it (not one, nor two…just three).  Those metrics you can choose from specifically being: Time, Distance, Pace, Calories, Heart Rate, HR Zone, Lap Time, Lap Distance, Lap Pace, Avg. Pace, and Cadence.
