How long until you get a monitor emzap? I'm surprised your local chemist/Boots doesn't have them in stock. Swimming always makes me mega hungry. How was the pudding or haven't you tried it yet?

An annual event or something to do with the marathon OH?

If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Good to see some great running, training and water based activities going on!
Down in Cornwall this week so yesterday was 4.5 easy leg stretcher, today will be an hour easy later if I can muster the energy...
  • Lovely day for it here Alehouse - hope you enjoyed good weather too.

    Whereabouts Dustin? Happy holidays.

Hope you had a good run Hazel.

    Enjoy Cornwall Dustin.

Run was a bit tough today as I didn't get out until midday.  It wasn't too hot by the air temperature and it was breezy but the sun was very strong.  Should run earlier or later at this time of year.  Did the HM distance but I've had better runs.

Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, looking forward to reports from the racers.

Good swim this morning, 550 m (and still one  faof thestest in the pool at 30 weeks pregnant, that made me happy!).

Then a lot of walking around Trentham monkey forest. Saw a lot of monkeys!

Hope all racers went well today
  • I had a pretty pants run too Hazel but I did the miles so I'll call it a win.

I guess the extra bulk isn't a hindrance in the water emzap.

Pleased with myself for getting to the gym and doing my programme this afternoon - one less thing to fit in to the rest of the week.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Hope our racers had a good time :)

Sounds familiar, Hazel. I curse myself sometimes for getting out too late. It's all miles in the bank though.

Definitely a win, LMH. And good to have the gym out of way too.

Sounds like you're a good swimmer, em.

Loved the lyrics and pic yesterday, OH :D

    Enjoy your hols, Dustin

Didn't manage to log on yesterday but I did run 6.5 breezy miles. Then off to help my friend prepare party food. We had a nice time. Couple of glasses of red only so just a slight headache this morning (lightweight :D) - nothing that a strong coffee didn't cure. Today is my designated non-run day but I needed milk so decided to jog to the shops and back.

    What: 3.5 miles
    Why: milk shopping
Last hard: bits of Friday's long run
    Last rest: 30/6
    Lyrics: of course

    Rare yes for lyrics

Tough marathon with head wind all the way. Last runner in at about 6h17. Rain largely stayed away though.

    Ceilidh shortly ...

Well done on surviving a tough day at the office, OH. Hope you survive the ceilidh!

Ceilidh was good. Stayed till Auld Lang Syne (11:30pm) and danced most of the sets along with a bit of refuelling.
