Morning!

Lyrics: Take your protein pills and put your helmet on

What: a run of some description, probably short and gentle once the rain stops

Why: ran hard yesterday evening
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning.

It’s bouncing off the pavement here and last night Mark said that he wanted to run this morning so I decided to wait for him as two soakings were even less appealing than one - of course he’s decided that actually he won’t bother now! Having missed my quiet early morning slot I’ve decided to hope that the forecast is correct and the rain will be lighter around 0900hrs when the traffic should be too - I’m not fancying the coastal path/footpaths after this amount of rain!
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Afternoon!

    Quiet today.

Well done on getting the miles in yesterday Chicksta.  One of my best long(er) runs pre Berlin last year was a 16 miler the day after running a 10k PB - definitely good practice for getting through miles on tired legs!

    Nice dolphin spot LMH.

Please send some of the UK rain here LMH, Ale and WP.

    Hope Giselle's OP went well.

What: hill run, 15k up with a gentle warmup of around 6km then steep and rock / root infested trails with around 700m of ascent in total.  Coffee and cake then shuffled 3k back down (-200m per km...).
Why: need the practice on more technical trails - need to pick my feet up and plot my steps better.
Last hard: some of today's climbs
    Last rest: 15.07.

    Lyrics: no.

    Afternoon!

Hope Wabo pops in with an update!

That sounds far too tough, Hazel!

What: about 35 mins fairly easy

Why: there was a short window when it stopped raining so took advantage of it. Inevitably wore too much. Pouring again now; trust it has stopped by the time the Griffin beckons later.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

I couldn’t have done the run down after the cake Hazel- I need an hour after eating. Was that training for your next hill race?

It eventually dried up here and Mark decided that he wanted to run so we did another six miles.
