Thursday, 1st August 2019 - I followed you again this morning

Morning :)

Lyrics: I followed you again this morning
I was close enough to feel you near

Glad the race was good, wabo.

How frustrating, em :( I hope it all clears post pregnancy 🤞

What: a shorter MLR
Why: recovery week (gotta love P&Ds sense of humour putting an interval sesh into an easy week 🤔)
Last hard: intervals
Last rest: 15/7

  • Morning.

Sorry to hear you're suffering emzap. I'm on the antihistamine and using Eurax but still struggling not to scratch the bites - tiny bites but huge red patches on the back of each calf.

Glad you enjoyed the race Wabo. I don't have an aloe plant to try, have used the cream in the past though and agree it is very soothing though I mostly used it for burns.

Hope you've enjoyed your run chicksta. How long is a short MLR on the plan?

We had a lot of rain again yesterday evening but it is dry and still this morning. It may be wet underfoot but I'm hoping to stay dry from the top today at least. No way would you think it was the end of July/beginning of August weather wise!

    What:             hopefully a MLR
Why:              trying to bank miles at the moment
    Last hard:      not scratching
    Last rest:       27/7

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning!

Yesterday's lyrics were "Our Jackie's Getting Married", Peter Skellern. Their day went really well!

    What: short and easy

    Why: being careful

    Well raced Wabo!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning all
Emz - sorry to hear about the scratchiness
Ale - glad to hear it all went well, did you stay dry? I'm still astonished by the pictures on the BBC last night of flooding, landslips and street canoeing when it's been warm and muggy here....

What - club night, easy 10k run
Why - coach shortage so taking the grown ups not the kids...
    last rest - 16 days
    last hard - Tuesday

LMH: 11 miles :)  I did about 11.5 progressively. Felt quite good this morning.

Glad you had a nice day, ale.

Hope the grown ups listen to you, Dustin ;)

so glad the day went well Alehouse, also cannot believe all the flooding!! Enjoy your short and easy
    chicksta nice one!
Dustin bet the grown ups behave worse than the kids.....
LMH enjoy the MLR, ditto scratching, mine oddly is still the right ankle area, think a trip to the doc is needed!

What: assembly league 3.5 miles later
why: i can only do this and not the last and find myself first in my cat!!
    last hard: last night
    last rest: 31/12/16

    have  a good day all

I have tiny bites on wrist  and on torso I use an insect repellant spray that helps when I remember to use it!
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • July mileage

    Afternoon

    What: walking and chores here
Why: visitors arriving tomorrow so trying to get house straight after builders were back yesterday.  It feels like an uphill struggle!
Last hard: small tasks feel hard at the moment.  My 2 km loop which was doable last week is becoming less doable!
    Lyrics: nope

Chick unfortunately eczema is something I've suffered from badly since childhood.
Hope the bites go soon LMH.  Any idea what caused them?
Ale did you manage to do a bit of dancing?  Glad the day went well.

    Have a lovely day all
  • None at all emzap. Don't go wearing yourself out.

That is quite short for a MLR chicksta. Glad it went well.

    Enjoy the race Wabo.

River has been over here too Dustin though fortunately the flood plane is mostly undeveloped where I am and does it's job there was a little bit of flooding on my run route.

I guess it's a choice between miles and races Poppy - you have to do whichever you enjoy most.

I'm glad a good day was had Alehouse. I still smile when I think about mine.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Evening, late drop in today as out and about due to the bank holiday here.

Great everything went well yesterday Ale.

If I really want to scratch an insect bite then I will pinch the skin nearby, not hard enough to do damage but it distracts.

    Good July stats coming in.

Take it easy emzap. Hope you get plenty of help for the harder stuff.

What: walk up a hill and fly back down again, did cheat and take the chairlift for part of the up but the legs were tired post yesterday's intervals
Why: bank holiday here, out and about with OH
Last hard: not getting rattled by overloud fireworks (cats don't seem to mind fortunately)
    Last rest: today

    Lyrics: the standard no

    July miles 206
    Races: 0
