Sunday, 18th August 2019 - I'm gonna love you, like no one loves you

Morning :)

Another muggy one.  19 degrees, 93% humidity. Hey ho. That'll be a slow one then.

I'm still waiting for such an MLR to happen, LMH. You're in a good place :+1:
Please don't break now!! Be careful.

That's a killer run, Wabo. No wonder you're knackered. I thought Essex was flat ;)

What: LSR
Why: can't blag a marathon
Last hard: today might be
Last rest: A week ago

    Progression
  • Morning.

    Yesterday's lyrics - It's In The Rain - Enya.

It will come if you keep sucking it up and getting the miles in chicksta. I'm expecting to pay for yesterday's good run with a bit of a slog this morning.

    Race well Poppy.

Picking your feet up more quickly is the way to do it Wabo - nice hilly run there, great training for your target race and nice to have your OH for company.

    What:          LSR all being well
Why:           Mark is going for a long ride so I may as well fill the time
Last hard:   Waiting for the summer
    Last rest:    27/7

    Lyrics - I think so.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

    Morning

What: probably a bit of walking
    Why: it's what I do
Last hard: the knowledge that I have to go back to work tomorrow in order not to have to take early mat leave
    Lyrics: don't think so

Good luck hazel. Anyone else racing today?

Meant to be nice here today lmh so hope it is for your run too.

Ale just catching up on highlights...

    Have a lovely day all

    Morning!

    Thought I had posted earlier!

    Lyrics: no

    Go well, WP!

    What: short run/long fitness suite

    Why: Sunday routine

    Crazy employment rules, Emz!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Good luck, poppy 🤞 hope you have a good race

LSR d&d. It wasn't pretty but more miles in the bank. Dodged the rain too although I was so massively soaked in sweat that I looked (and felt) like I'd been in a downpour ;)

That's crazy, em. Do you feel well enough to go?

Hope your LSR felt better than mine, LMH. I was in good spirits earlier in the week when it was a little cooler and less humid. Asthma is pretty bad at the mo :(
  • It's Poppy racing today emzap  :) Are you still wfh? Could you negotiate reduced hours between now and your maternity leave?

Well done for getting it done chicksta. Windy here but otherwise quite good and my run was better than I was expecting after yesterday's.

Is your back feeling any better Alehouse?
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Afternoon!

Yep, no race for me today, fortunately, as I have 3 in 9 days as it is.

(Belated?) Good luck to WP for the 10k

Well done on the LSR chicksta - that humidity must have been awful.

Good you enjoyed your MLR and LSR LMH.

That is tough emzap.   Reduced hours sounds like an idea. Or is it possible to work a couple of days and then go back to sick leave?

Nice lumpy profile that Wabo. Graphics look familiar too, I assume Fetch? I log my training on there but don't post in the forum much at all.

Have a nice Sunday afternoon all.

What: some recovery miles this evening
Why: hot and sunny at the moment, sorry LMH. Ran 10 miles a bit quick yesterday for one day after a race
Last hard: riding a moped for the first time today. Didn't fall off or drop it at least.
    Last rest: 15.08

    Lyrics: no

If I take any sick leave from now it automatically triggers the start of mat leave, but I have 4 days work, 4 days off, 4 days work, 2 weeks holiday then mat leave so really not too bad in the grand scheme of things.

Sorry poppy hope you had a good race (blame the pregnancy brain!).

Glad you got a good run in lmh.

well done on your race Hazel yesterday

Good day here, on production at Church this morning then went out for an hours run this afternoon,

relaxed and chilled, and surprised when I got home to find that i had run 1:04 and that had tipped 7m and that it worked out as a progressive run.... Happy :-)

    Thanks all

    Take care
