Morning!
Lyrics: **********, bring me a dream
Make him the cutest that I've ever seen
What: short run/long fitness suite
Why: Tuesday routine
Not looking forward to spending up to six hours in hospital today for scan: have to have injections and then 3 to 4 hours later have the scan. Not really an opportunity to catch up on much needed sleep! Will take a good book!
Hope your appointment goes well, RFJ!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Yesterday's lyrics - Heaven Knows - First Aid Kit.
Good news on your numbers emzap. Hope the scan is ok too and that you get some more answers RFJ.
My left knee was really hot last night, no swelling or pain but lots of heat so I'm not sure what's going on with it. It feels ok this morning but I think I'd best pay some attention to it if I can feel it on my run. Hopefully it will come to nothing. I was contemplating the gym this afternoon but yesterday afternoon's hedge trimming has left me with a rather stiff and aching shoulder so I think I'll defer that for a day or two.
What: easy miles
Why: it's the current plan
Last hard: knowing whether I'm doing the right thing or not
Last rest: 27/7
Lyrics - yes.
what - training, may have to make it a lunchtime session, eldest back from yet another holiday today.
why - keep the wheels working
last rest - yesterday in the end. Caught up workwise and after the junior XC AGM (finished in under an hour!) I couldn't see the point in 3 or 4 easy for running's sake.
last hard - Sunday's trails probably
lyric - dont think so
Good luck RFJ!
Alehouse: Best of luck today I hope the book is a good one.
What: 6.6 miles easy
Why: Because I could
Last hard : Sunday and toning exercises with Leslie (DVD)
Lyrics:I think so yes.
I ache in places that have not ached in a while:-)
Miles makes smiles.
Progression
LMH I bet alehouse is wishing it to weds...
Alehouse hope today goes well
WP enjoy the aches as you know why you have them! nice miles
dustinig you ain't streaking there is no point in doing that run just because! Enjoy the training today
Hazel that sounds like a tough one!
LMH easy miles is the one I reckon
rfj hope you get some answers today
Emzap great news on the numbers, our bump is showing as small in the recent scan. DiL is 28 weeks but they say bump is more like 25, back in two weeks to keep an eye on it.
What: 2 miles later
why: I did do the 5 last night so I can hold back today!
last hard: last night
last rest: 31/12/16
Poor Cleo they are erupting all over her and she says the spots feel really itchy and sore :-(
No point in doing the miles for the sake of it Dustin.
Poor Cleo - i remember chicken pox being very itchy - mind you it was a hot summer when I had it which didn't help - do they still use calamine lotion? Hope everything is ok with the bump.
It's good to shake things up a bit Poppy.
My run was a real slog this morning but that wasn't unexpected after the last two day's good runs. There was nothing wrong and it did get better after about five miles so hopefully an easier day today will see me right for tomorrow.
That's a very long time in hospital, ale. Hope it's worth it and provides answers…
Ditto RFJ - fingers crossed those scans help you to understand further what's going on.
Positive news re. diabetes, em.
Hope the knee is OK post run, LMH. Slogging around is what I do mostly these days …
Hazel: Good luck for tomorrow. Your run sounds a bit like mine on Sunday when had such trouble breathing. I rarely have to use my inhaler on a slow run but I was darn glad I took it with me.
Right decision, Dustin. I usually ask myself what's the benefit of today's run and if the answer is "to make up numbers" I won't do it.
Ouch, Poppy. I ache a bit after yesterday's yoga which had me working on my arms (planks, down dog, chaturanga and more planks) forever.
What: 12 miles with 6 * 1k@ 5k pace
Why: apparently to boost my VO2 max.
seems to have worked:
Last hard: that was
Last rest: 11/8
Lyrics: of course
Lunchtime hill session at Greenwich: 6x500m hill reps, just shy of 9 miles in total.
Back to work for a nap...
Me, sane, Dustin?
Just back from the isotope nuclear bone scan. Arrived 10:15, left 3:15. The morning was an injection for the radioactive drug to be inserted, drink as much water as you can and do as many sudokus as possible. Then pm scans: 30 mins, 2 x 15, 1 x 5, with the last three in an uncomfortable position with hands behind head...and very uncomfortable as all I wanted to do was go to the loo! Was able to have two comfort breaks between scans. Could have gone for a short walk this morning but it poured, although the sun is peeping through now. Fitness suite and short run when I have recovered and had some food.
Glad Cleo has chicken pox at her age, Wabo: I was 27 and was very ill with it for around six weeks of quite a hot summer!
Good lunchtime session, Dustin, and decent progress Chick!
That's a good session for a lunchtime Dustin.
Glad you survived Alehouse - how long do you have to wait for the results?
Meant to say earlier, heard from Clink, formerly of this thread: got a first in her degree, and still running...or would be if she hadn't broken a big toe!
Wow, ale that sounds long and really uncomfortable. Some of my heart ultrasounds are a teensy bit like that. Lay twisted on one side smothered in ultrasound jelly and being told not to breathe (for what feels like 10 mins but is probably only 10 secs). Fingers crossed for next Thursday then I do remember Clink although I think she sort of left the forums pretty much when I joined. Was it something I said maybe?
Hope you had a nice desk nap, Dustin Good session
Hope Cleo stops itching soon wabo!
Ale that is a long time in the hospital
What: walking and yoga
Why: it's Tuesday
Last hard: back in hospital today hearing tummy size is decreasing (baby's) which means my diet is working, but they are now worried he's too small again (I'm getting fed up!). Just because he doesn't follow an exact line doesn't mean there's a problem (rant over). Back for more scans in 2 weeks
Last amazing thing: the 2d scan showed his face really clearly and you can see that he has loads of hair. I find that incredible!
Lyrics: yes I think so
Have a lovely evening all
Bowel specialist doesn't believe that issues are connected to MS... so will have to have invasive tests.... colonoscopy.... in a couple of weeks time... good times at the moment.... not
By the time I got back home, felt only up for a short fast effort... so 2.25m... felt harder but slower than last week... oh well... thats running I guess
Hope everyone else is well
Take care
