Wednesday 11th December 2019 We get it almost every night

Morning!

Lyrics: We get it almost every night
When that moon is big and bright

Only just been able to get on the internet, hence the late start.

What: a run of some description

Why: legs will decide

Got absolutely soaked yesterday evening; could be a total contrast this evening with a clear sky and a full moon...hopefully.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

  • Morning..

Hope you do get a clear sky this evening Ale - had that yesterday evening and it was beautiful, could have turned off the headtorch it was so bright.   Compensation for the -2 degree temps.  Cloudy here now - did get a lovely sunrise though.

Like merino tops as well LMH, bit pricy but worth the money.

Happy belated birthday OH - hope you had a lovely day.

Good news on the continuing good sleep emzap.  Like the Christmas presents.  You are pretty creative.

    What: midday miles (around 5)
    Why: Get out in daylight
    Last rest: 09.12.

    Lyrics: no
  • Morning.

Yesterday's lyrics - Blow Wind Blow by Alison Moyet.

Hope you manage a dry run Alehouse.

    Enjoy the daylight miles Hazel.

emzap - I hope it's your new norm. You could easily sub the nuts in the xmas cake. I don't like mixed peel so never include that. I agree with Hazel, you are very creative.

Chilly here this morning (feels like 0C) but the wind has dropped and it's currently dry so I should get changed and out for my run. Another night disturbed by my cough and I was coughing more on my walk but my peak flow is only down a little so I'm hoping it won't interfere with my run. I'll keep the HR low and bimble.

    What:         easy miles
Why:          gets me through the day
    Last hard:  feeling very motivated
    Last rest:   8/12

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning

Em: great news on Lucas new sleeping pattern.Wow we will need photo's as they sound amazing especially the garden snowman:-)

    Happy belated Birthday OH

    What: 6.17 miles
Why: got up late sleeping 12+ hours
    Last hard: Weather
    lyrics: Yes

I extended new route it stayed dryfor 5 miles then last mile it hammered down! colder today 2 degrees and I needed warmer socks on!
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • Afternoon!

What: turned out to be 42 mins, which is between two-thirds and three-quarters of my long run (60 mins) of the week, so qualifies as an MLR. Very varied route: some road (perhaps a mile), muddy and puddly stretches, cinder paths and stony paths. Well wrapped up in merino top with OMM Rotor jacket over; tracksters, gloves, hat.

Why: decided to pop and see my younger son on his horse again. Saw him twice, in fact: the first time in bright sunshine; the second time in cool drizzle. Now very cloudy so the chances of seeing the moonlight are diminishing!

May write Christmas cards this pm, and perhaps the pastry for mince pies.

Theoretically track tonight ... but it's a foul outside, so ...?
Wheelie bin dance winds and temperature inside house was only 13°C - so I lit the fire.
    Looking better for tomorrow
    Last hard motivation
Last rest: Sunday (and maybe today)

OH I bet the wheelie bins were!
alehouse good running and all the rest - you are putting me to shame! No time and no oomf
wp nice running! Shame about the rain at the end
LMH hope the easy miles were ok, you and me both with the cough
hazel hope your midday miles were good!

    What: bimble later
why: really below par today, meant to race tonight but no way
    last hard: getting up today
    last rest: 31/12/16
    have a good day all
possunt quia posse videntur - we can because we know we can
  • Sorry to hear that you're feeling so rough Wabo.

I would just love to be toasting a slice of bread (and myself) on that fire OH.

When are you planning to marzipan Alehouse?

I thought you preferred the winter weather for running Poppy?  :)

Love the fire, OH! Thanks for posting. Dull, grey, wet and miserable here.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It's just frantic.

Did you feel OK on today's run, LMH?

Nasty lurgy, wabo. Shame you can't race.

Hazel: Smart move to get out in daylight. This running in darkness is no fun.

That's a nice variety of surfaces, ale

I've worn my OMM jacket countless times since I bought it an it's worth every penny. Another one here for merino tops. They're the best.

What: tough sesh today: 9 miles with 6*5 mins and 1 min recoveries in the middle - did it on the TM though and covered about 1200m with each rep which is ok.
    Why: too foul outside
Last hard: not hitting the slow down button on the last rep - I was tempted
Last rest: yesterday although I did an hour of s&c
    Lyrics: no
  • Apart from being as slow as a slow thing for the first three quarters of the run chicksta.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Evening!

Probably marzipan on Friday or Saturday, LMH.

    Decent treadmill session, Chick!

Hope you get well soon, Wabo. Thought Spurs reserves were reasonable!

No dancing in the moonlight here tonight; more like singing in the rain.
