Downside of the train strikes is the early starts, upside is the rare ability to start a thread!

    Sorry, forgot to post yesterday, just did a walk of about 3 miles and went for tea and cake twice, plus a Christmas party!

    Why: I'll need to feed him when he does but he's fast asleep and can only fit run in before 9

    Hope you manage to fit a run in emzap. I had a bit of a better night but frankly feel rough to be honest.

    The swim looked warmer than the run OH - though I doubt it felt it.

    Hope you get the long break you want chicksta - I have a far longer break than I would like.

    When are you icing Alehouse? It feels as though the clock is ticking quickly now.

    Mild here but we are forecast heavy rain shortly. I could have got out in the half light and hoped to be back before it started but to be honest I just can't muster the enthusiasm. I need to go to the post office so I've decided to do that when it opens and then run. Mark decided this morning that he wants to have xmas decorations after all - including a tree - so guess who's going to have to fit that in too............

    Nice hill work Ale.  How is the back in the meantime?  (down)hills will give it a jolting.

    Not too much planned during my break LMH - relax a bit, a couple of visits of OH's family and some outdoor stuff hopefully (certainly running, maybe some hiking or mtbing depending on the weather). 

    Similar break to me then Chicksta - hope you don't get called in.  I get the 6th of January as a bank holiday as well - you work at the wrong end of Germany.. :) Well done on the hills.

    What: hopefully MLR over midday, 15 mins telegym d&d today's offering involved blokes in pink lycra vests - an old episode.
    Why: make the most of daylight

    Hazel: upper back where I had a fracture nearly two years ago is a pain most of the time; difficult to tell whether it is worse after downhills.

    Lovely day out in Worcester, Christmas shopping basically finished.
