Hi guys,
I love devouring running books and have read many of the popular titles like Born To Run, Running With The Kenyans and Feet In The Clouds.
I'm now looking for a good enjoyable read which focuses more on the practical aspects of running such as training, technique, recovery, race strategies, diet etc.
A bit of background, I'm 40 this year and typically run a mix of trails (my favourite) and road about 3 times a week. I race once or twice a month, typically at 7 - 13km distance as, with the usual work and family commitments, I don't have time to train for anything longer. I'm typically a 42 min 10km runner, have ducked below 40 min once or twice, but have set myself a goal for this year to go sub 40 @ 40.
Cheers,
Kevin

Looking for something a little more practical and scientifical not just another motivational and inspirational book about why people like to run.
I plumped for The Art of Running Faster first to be followed up Daniels Running Formula.
Enjoying TAORF so far, shorter and sharper has always been my preference. I've been dropping my V02 max drop on Garmin whilst training recently for a longer and technically complex hill team event. Thankfully done now and the rocket boosters have been strapped back on ha ha.
