Tuesday 3rd March 2020 - Oh the sun may shine through your window on a summer's day

Morning.

Lyrics - Oh the sun may shine through your window on a summer's day

RFJ - I hope today is a better one.

Are you feeling better today Wabo?

Having rested it yesterday I was expecting my knee to be fine this morning but I can still feel it. The nice day forecast has now turned into rain for the day too. Things just keep getting better sometimes. I shall see how my knee is after a walk and hopefully get out for at least a few miles. Am taking MiL for an x-ray this afternoon and yesterday was a bit of a wearing one at work so I could do with the stress relief.

What:           who knows
Why:            see above
Last hard:    managing my knees
Last rest:     2/3

Yesterday's lyrics - Cold by James Blunt.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Doesn't really sound like a fun day LMH so I hope you have got that run in.

Well done on getting out at 6am WP.

Tempo commute sounds quite stressy Dustin.

Bad luck on the weather Ale.

Hope you are feeling better today RFJ and Wabo.

Would be an expensive non-trip Chicksta.  Hope you are not feeling too crap after those injections.

    Afternoon!

    Very quiet!

What: short but quite hard run

Why: ran to feel. It stopped raining just as I finished! Rained for at least 6 hours non-stop even though the forecast was for only the occasional shower. Next to no wind.

Two unusual sightings on my run: first I was passed by a woman in full kit running quite swiftly...with an umbrella up! Think she was doing some sort of reps as she stopped not long after passing me before going again after a short rest interval. Secondly a guy, probably from the Indian sub-continent, was running bare-chested. I see him quite often. What was unusual was that for once he had shoes on.

  • Beautiful spring morning :)
(very) slow plod around modified Kirkwall HM route.
Needed to push up the miles
    That was hard!
    Last rest: Thursday
    Lyrics no
  • Why no training this evening Dustin? That's not like you.

Not as rainy as forecast here Alehouse which makes a pleasant change.

Good that you are on the up Poppy.

Enjoy the run in company Hazel.

Sounds as though you've had the best of the weather OH.

I returned from my walk this morning and really wasn't sure if my knee was going to allow a run or not but I really needed to try today. Got changed, stepped out of the front door - and it started raining - at least it meant I could head straight back inside for my jacket. Set off and the knee settled quite quickly though the pace was very slow. Really wasn't sure how far I'd get but things improved as I went so I was able to run long. X-ray, coffee and shopping completed with MiL.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Weird people in your neighbourhood, ale ;)

    What's next for you, OH?

Hazel: I love flagging spammers too >:)

Isn't that stretch along the river usually full of tourists,  Dustin? I seem to remember from when I worked at the Wharf...

Did you run, LMH? I always get fooled with that James Blunt song. I really should have known. Pea brain, me.

    What: nowt
Why: feeling rotten after jabs. Can barely move my left arm. Hope it's better tomorrow
    Last hard: unable to sleep
    Last rest: today
Lyrics: yes, one of my favourite singers
  • I did chicksta - see post above :-)  Sorry to hear that you're suffering, hope it's better tomorrow.
