Saturday 20th June 2020 Me and him and them and me

Morning!

Lyrics: Me and him and them and me
We'll show you what we can do
With a load of balls...

What: gentle stretches, short run

Why: feeling a bit battered and bruised

Hopefully better weather here today although currently looking very grey.

In the end I though a draw was about right last night, Wabo. And enjoy the last part of your marathon!

    Take it easy, ale.

Dustin: Huge respect, mate. Pretty darn good given the lack of training. And this being a trail mara you should be ok on the DOMS front I hope 🤞

Hazel: I'm with you and I bet they will have to rethink their decision.

Never thought I'd say this, but I do miss the gym. It's open again but being in a confined space with heavily breathing people is the last place I would want to be. Ok, numbers are restricted and you have to book a slot but still .... And the changing rooms are still closed so you go to work all sweaty 🤢

Over an hour of s&c done 💪 working on that six-pack :D

Has Dustin managed to stand up yet?

    Have a good Saturday all.

    What: recovery later
Why: balancing longer and / or harder with easy running.
    Last hard tedious Saturday jobs

    Lyrics: no

    Morning again!

    Wrong sport I'm afraid, Hazel!

Why: following Chick's instructions to take it easy.

I am missing the fitness suite, but only for a couple of machines.

    Morning

    What: 15km bright a early
Why: found it tough last week so repeated the distance (different route) rather than upping the km.
    Last hard: Monday night
Lyrics: no, though sound like they are for Lucas, he's obsessed with his ball pit balls! He crawls in there, throws the balls out and chases them around the room.

Run felt much easier than last week though first 5km still really tough

Chick no doesn't sound appealing does it!
    Ale how are the bruises?
Dustin yes that is very impressive!

Have a great Saturday all, we're off to collect some cupcakes :)

  • Yesterday's lyrics - Why Does It Always Rain On Me by Travis.

Much better weather here this morning Alehouse.

I'm looking forward to our forecast warmer weather Hazel. Still undecided about the race then or have you decided not to enter?

I'm having cake I haven't baked today too emzap :-) I always think it's good to repeat the distance and be comfortable before increasing again. Lucas sounds very cute with his ball pit.

chicksta - my back/shoulder is missing the gym but I'm in no hurry to go back and that's not because I'm not a fan.

What:           easy run to conclude my highest mileage week since February
Why:            stress management ahead of an afternoon shift
    Last hard:    rehabbing my knees
    Last rest:     16/6

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

Well done on the long run, Emz! Think my bruises will see me running shorter for a while. Missed a MLR this week, and I was also going to repeat 15k on Monday. Don't think you would let Lucas play with this type of ball!

Good to hear of a higher week, LMH! Take care!
