Friday 4th December 2020 - the mouse ran up the clock

Morning

The mouse ran up the clock

What: probably just a walk
Why: face still in pain, teeny bit of a headache still
Last hard: yesterday!

Wabo hope the aches have gone and no cold appeared.

Have a great day all

  • Yay happy I can get the nursery rhymes!
Home sweet freezing home at 11pm. Good job we live in Orkney forgot to lock front door when we left!
After feeling good Tues and we'd ran out of steam yesterday. All I did was have a v short walk  tidtinv air b n b which was perfect for us coffee outdoors with daughter and sit in the car and was still tired!
Today don't know making soup and maybe going up the hill but not allowed to run yet. Not supposed to socialise as just returned from level 3 area....though apart from the hospital visit we didn't get close to anyone.
Lots of snow on drive north yesterday but roads fine.
    Have a good day all.
  • Morning.

Glad to hear you are feeling better and the bruises aren't too bad emzap.

Take it easy Els - the anaesthetic, stress etc are bound to have taken it out of you, you need to let yourself recover.

Cold here this morning and rain due to come in. I really have little or no enthusiasm for a run but will get myself out of the door as per physio's orders.

    What:             easy miles
    Why:              rehab
Last hard:      getting out of the door
    Last rest:       3/12

    Lyrics - yes.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning,

Cold here but not as cold as forecast had said.We had rain;-)

    What 4 mile walk
Why: Still not able to run
    Last hard the fall
    Lyrics : Yes

Knee is a pain but seems to be easier as pace was a little faster on walk.I may try a mile run on treadmill tomorrow and when I am up to three miles go outside to run as scared of falling.
    ALF: Always a little further
    Miles makes smiles.
    Progression
  • Morning - would have started the thread but couldn't think of any lyrics on the fly.

Today's made me smile we are on constant mousewatch at the moment as cat no. 2 keeps bringing home live presents again.

Glad you got home ok Els and OH.

Waiting for it to rain/snow here too.  Understand your reluctance to go out LMH.

    Sounds sensible WP.

Hope you are feeling better after that jab yesterday chicksta.

Hope you don't get that cold Wabo.

What: another don't know yet day
Why: other priorities but will do a run sometime
Last hard: getting through work today - I am almost looking forward to my week off for moving as a distraction from it
    Last rest: 30.03.

    Lyrics: no
  • Hope your work day goes quickly Hazel. Unfortunately the rain came in much earlier than forecast - just as I stepped out of the door for my run - fortunately this meant that I came back inside and changed so when the light rain changed to heavy I had my lovely OMM jacket to keep me warm and dry.

Good to hear that you are on the mend Poppy.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Slow wet, cold windy jog up the hill.
Why? I am asking myself the same! LOL
    Last hard: journey home
Last rest: no running yesterday but hardly restful.
    Lyrics yes
  • Afternoon!

A very cold morning here...due to a boiler failure so had to fix that before work rather than setting any lyrics.

A fair amount of snow this afternoon but by the time I went for my run it had blown over. Icy wind and icy drizzle, and lots of cold puddles.

    Must read back!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Feeling better today, thanks. I get this reaction every now and again with a flu jab. Some years I don't even notice I had it and in others it knocks me out.

Els: No wonder you are tired. This wasn't an easy op I presume. Relax by the fire.

Ale: Brrr. Glad you fixed the boiler. Icy wind +1

I did 2 miles of run/walk this morning but it was soooo cold and windy. Followed this with my usual core routine.

    Enjoy the weekend, all!

Yesterday's lyrics: Snow, Red Hot Chili Peppers

Emz - you too, hope the head feels better

    last rest - 10/10
    last hard - yesterday
Youngest due back from Manchester next week, Eldest finally gets a job offer after 200+ rejections. Local green energy firm. Starts a week Monday. Me & Mrs D off out to the pub tonight (remember them?)
    Have a good weekend!
  • Congratulations to eldest Dustin. Pub? We don't have them here - or at least not open ones - enjoy.

Glad you are feeling better chicksta.

Not a day to be without a working boiler Alehouse - good that you were able to sort it.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
