Sunday 31st January 2021 Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter

Morning!

Lyrics: Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here

Yesterday's were Reach (for the stars), S-Club 7

What: probably around 35- 40 minutes

Why: Sunday tends to be an easy day. Plus stretches.
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

  • Morning.

It's a cold one here but dry and still.

BoJo may not have announced anything but our holiday cottage company cancelled our booking for the beginning of March :-(
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning

    Cool, still and dry here.

What's a holiday?  Last break away is over a year ago.. (and that only a long weekend).  Travel is not possible and the things I used to like to do here are swamped with people I don't want to meet so I don't go anywhere.

    Have a nice run Ale.

What: exploring MLR, look at something else
    Why: Sunday miles
    Last rest: 30.03.

    Lyrics: no

    Morning again!

Yes, what's a holiday? Very much agree with what you wrote, Hazel! My last was a short break to Seville at the beginning of February last year. Seems a very long time ago. And this winter is lasting a long time, as did autumn! And a shame about your booking, LMH, but I'm not surprised, sadly.

Cold here but run was pleasant enough. 45 minutes. Was hoping that the sun would make an appearance.

January's figures: 31 days run, 213km/132 miles. Highest January for a few years as I usually seem to acquire an injury each Jan!

    Stretches later.

    Afternoon all
I knew the lyrics were familiar yesterday
    Yes to today's
Well I've just seen that I did 83 miles in January and tbh I'm really pleased. Only 10 less than last year.
Alehouse great start to the year!
Hazel hope you enjoyed your mlr, wish I knew what a holiday was
Lmh what a nuisance it all is we were discussing holidays whilst running today
What 7.5 x country very hilly miles, followed by a speedy half mile to get to Cleo in time
Why club points the 7.5 and Cleo us currently doing a dance class in my living room
    Last hard all of that
    Last rest 31/12
Ran for 1.40 so was surprised to dash off when my friend walked back that I had it in me!!

  • One hour 40 plus, Wabo! Well done. Not sure that I could do that!

I know alehouse didn't think I could to be fair. But it was very very slow

  • I'm not surprised but I am disappointed. I shall be looking to book something else in the near future as I'd rather have something to look forward to that might not happen than nothing to look forward to.

Nice running Wabo. You seem to have recovered well.

Yep hazel first month new streak.
I ran outdoors in the end yesterday, in the evening and only a mile.

  • Nice miles, wabo.

Good monthly total, ale. And no injuries, please 😉

Hope you had a good run, Hazel.

Shame about the cancellation, LMH. Hope you can find something else. We're booked to La Palma (Canary Islands) for 2 weeks in March. The island is nearly Covid free (right now they have 1 incident) but we'll have to do tests before both flights and they're not cheap. We'll see. Right now it's still totally unclear whether or not we'll be allowed to travel at all. A bit like South Africa last year 🤷🏼‍♀️

Guess I shouldn't complain as we managed a shortened week in Bavaria last March (they sent us home 3 days early, first lockdown) and 2 weeks in October. A day later they announced the second lockdown.

It was minus 11 here this morning. Brrrr. But blue skies and a lot of 🌞
  • That makes my -5C look balmy chicksta. We won't be able to book anywhere else as they've cancelled because we are still unlikely to be able to travle then. I'll have to hope that Mark can get some time off over my birthday, that it's not spent in lock down (again) and that I can find somewhere for us to go if we are allowed. First world problems I know.

MiL had her first vaccination yesterday and is feeling quite rough. Fortunately I warned her so she was prepared.

    Lovely pics Chicksta

Good mileage Ale / Wabo, well done

Sorry not been on here much at all lately, been pretty down and trying to cope, so have really only been logging and occasional posting / blogging on Fetch....

Well a little ray of light is the targets that I set for this year, which was 3750 miles on the bike / exercise bike and 325m walking, and I am please to say that I am ahead on both....

352m on the Exercise bike (34m up)

    33m Walking (5m up)

That has given me a little lift.... which is much needed

So on to this week and have MS physio on Wednesday and Urology specialist on Friday, which could result in an op down the line....

    Take care
