Out with friends for a hilly 10k...found it hard/impossible to keep up after yesterday ...unfortunately the sunshine of yesterday was only fleeting replaced with drizzle and headwind today but a scenic route and a new cafe for afters!

Thanks for thoughts about FIL.  He seems pretty fit for 82 considering everything.  The stomas are a pain to take care of is what gets him down a bit.  He is recovering well from this op so far.

Good parkrun considering you are less than a week post-mara chicksta and yesterday's long travel.  Well done.

Well done on the 16m Dustin after your hills yesterday (pick one with a tailwind?).  How long do you have until your next mara?  

Cafe test sounds good Elspeth.  Great long run yesterday!  Hope you get the date for the procedure sorted soon.

Belated happy birthday to your mum Wabo!  Hope you had a nice parkrun.

Ran 229 miles, biked 100 and walked 31.  1 race (10m) with a PB (likely won't be saying that too often any more).

What: short recovery
Why: last long run tomorrow (that thing starting with T is looming now), test new shoes (Hoka Supersonic in go-fast orange stripes.. I sent the girl scurrying back into the store room with the pale pink ones!!)
Last hard: waiting for the cake to cool down (carrot..)
