Sunday 20th August 2023 Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear

Morning!

Lyrics: Oh, the shark, babe, has such teeth, dear

Yesterday's were The Birdie Song

What: half an hour or so shortly

Why: to get back in time for the eleven o'clock kick off.  Then cricket later.

I imagine that you enjoyed the match, Wabo!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

Comments

  • Did you get back in time Ale? Must admit I haven't followed the football at all. Athletics much too distracting now.

Slow but got round it sounds fine to me Wabo. Hope the doc can get the cough sorted, been going on for a while.

Relieved to see Chicksta drop in yesterday! Sorry to hear about the hammy but it seems you have found good alternatives.  Wow to the parkrun time!

    Impressive speedwork yesterday Dustin!

What: 14.x mile MLR + another 2 miles cd walk
Why: had planned an over HM distance today, misjudged the route slightly and would have ended up with a proper long run if I had run all of it, bit of a big jump in distance
Last hard: that was actually ok. I had originally planned some speedier bits but due to the conditions was pleased to get round comfortably at the swifter end of my normal LSR pace.
    Last rest: 18.08.23

Lyrics: no. Should have known yesterday's.

Right, time for a siesta,! Early beat the heat start again.

    Hiya
Hazel - tidy run, well done!
Ale - hopefully you got your 30 done

    What - 11miles lumpy trails
    why - LSR
    last rest - 16/08
last hard - that wasn't the easiest after yesterday's track
    lyric - yes

Spent much of the rest of the day watching the football and the athletics...

  • Good run Hazel, ale and Dustin.
As for me about a mile on beach while Peter and Monica swam, didn't even turn Garmin on, then a walk along the Arbroath cliffs and a strawberry tart at strawberry farm.
Onward drive to boat and now at sea.
Missing out on Thomas and niece/nephew meet up in Cheadle.
