Tues 31st Oct 23 - when I look out my window, many sights to see

Lyrics - when I look out my window, many sights to see. And when I look in my window, so many different people to be

Yesterday's lyrics seemed familiar but I can't place them

No running yesterday, then got a bit of a temperature at work, so not sure if it'll turn into something more or not - I'll see later

    Lyrics: not today

Yesterday's were The Witch Queen of New Orleans, Redbone.

Hope the unwell feeling turns to nothing, Chamolk.

And thanks for mentioning Christmas cake: reminded me to feed mine!

What: a run this pm I imagine

Why: currently pouring. Will nip into town and collect my new glasses.

Forecast rain for the rest of the week; glad that I will be in sunny Spain from Thursday to Sunday. Would be good if you all had some lyrics ready!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Morning

    Hopefully not belated Covid Chamolk.

You are well ahead of us if you have already baked your cake Ale (and now also Els).  I might do one at the weekend.  Need to consult the cupboards to see what is missing first.  Enjoy your new glasses and good to have the short trip to Spain to look forward to!

Sorry to hear you haven't been too well Pammie.  Good to squeeze in the virtual mile nonetheless.

What: 10 miles with 5 tempo - will see how tempo they will be as it will likely be a bit drafty.  Will try to get the effort right rather than the pace in that case.
    Why: maras won't run themselves
Last hard: cooking yesterday's dinner - we have a power cut for over an hour.. Long time since I've had that experience - it was actually quite nice to sit on the sofa in candlelight though!
    Last rest: 29.10.23

    Lyrics: no
  • Ale, enjoy sunny Spain!
Chamolk, hope you're not going down with Covid! Not sure how I got invited for a booster as only 63, cut off is 65 but maybe cos I'm still an nhs worker.
Hazel, that's the hard bit assembling all the ingredients and preping the tin - the actual baking is easy! Decorating less so! Good training going on. I feel a bit of a fraud even starting Sat's event.
Also only realised when race nos went out over 800 entrants, that's a bit busy for me!
    Pammie, get better!
Day off, made soup and scones then 6.2 mile run and yoga. Trying to assemble what I need as well. We are still contemplating which of 3 ferries is most likely to go Wed night/Thurs morning as poor forecast. I favour the 6.30am one but Peter doesn't fancy the 5am start to get to ferry for check in. Bright sunny day here but very cold.
Not had a powercut here for years but they had one while in borders a week or so ago, set all the neighbours burglar alarms off and woke the kids at 6am!

Chamolk - hope it's nothing sinister and you get out
Ale - ohh, Enjoy sunny Spain!
Hazel - more solid speedwork , good stuff. Power cut? Remember those as a kid in the 70s...
Els - ohh, soup and scones, excellent work.

    What - Club Session 4x1200s
    Why - on the schedule
    last rest - 21/09
last hard - will be tonight. Not sure it will be full beans, legs still jaded from the weekend although I did do 20 minutes of stretching at lunchtime...
    Lyric - not so sure
