Thursday 9th November 23 - they just use your mind

They just use your mind and they never give you credit

Alehouse yes! I did the race in honour of my lovely friend who's funeral I went to Tuesday. I knocked off nearly 2 mins from last year. It's round a cycle circuit so it's got hills! 32 mins last year just under 34. Tuesday was a very sad day so we really forced ourselves to race, my friend hubbie said do it for Lou so there was no way Sacha and I couldn't

    Morning!

Well done Wabo, and a fitting tribute to your friend.

    Lyrics: can't place them

Yesterday's were Wichita Lineman, Glen Campbell

    What: 30 minutes plus

Why: trying to get some kilometres under my belt
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.
  • Morning

Well raced Wabo!  Fingers crossed the dentist isn't too bad.

Are you chasing a goal Ale?

It is annoying when you are trying to do your job Els and the things you need for it just don't co-operate.

What: 8 and a bit miles with 4 tempo
    Why: this week's speedier stuff
Last hard: not having time to appreciate yesterday's beautiful weather in the afternoon, grey, damp and breezy instead today
    Last rest: 8.11.2023

    Lyrics: no

Yes, Hazel, aiming for 2023 km in2023. Touch and go! Need 340 more, which averages about 6.5 per day, or 45.5k per week. Have only got over 40k once in the last month...
    Enjoy your tempo!

Wow alehouse I'm trying to hit 1000 miles this year and only decided end of September, that seems a big enough ask!!
    Dentist all good thankfully
    Hazel enjoy the run today
Just waiting for Jodie now but I'm feeling lots of negative energy so she'll need pushing

    Afternoon!

How many miles do you need, Wabo? Glad the dentist was straightforward! Hope the run with Jodie is as well!

What: a few seconds under an hour

Why: probably this week's long run.

Jodie had her best run ever today and learnt lots about the mind and running!
    Dentist good too

  • Good going Wabo and Jodie!
    Ale, spurned my phone then?
    Hazel, good speedwork.
Still recovery week though would have been lovely for a run today, 8m walk plus another few miles doing bits and pieces.
    Lyrics, no!

Sorry, Els, meant to say that I have a spare phone, thanks! And 8+ miles of walking doesn't sound like recovery to me!

Thanks els. If she hadn't been hot I think the first effort would have been more than 11 mins. But she went on to do another 6 running and then a final 3. Walk breaks in-between. 11 mins is her longest to date
