Best tips to make shoes grippy on ice/frost

Having had a couple of (minor) slips yesterday, there must be something you can do to make your road shoes a bit grippier. Any tips please?

Not that I know of.   You can get those grips to put on shoes but that's for snow/persistent ice, wouldn't be comfortable if you were running on a smooth road surface as part of your run.  Google ice grips.

I find some shoes much better than others when roads are a bit slippery.
