Friday 24th November 2023 Don't start that talking, I could talk all night

Morning!

Lyrics: Don't start that talking, I could talk all night
My mind was sleepwalking, while I'm putting the world to right
Call careers information, have you got yourself an occupation?

Yesterday's were Tears of a Clown, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles

What: 30-40 minutes

Why: depends how I feel

Go well, Hyde Parkers!
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

    Morning
    Lyrics yes
Hyde park, I'm waiting to get a bit better
My stomach is not right and it's unheard of! But I started taking omeprazole for this continuous richly slight cough and word voice box thing.
Not sure these tablet  are right for me, hardly ate yesterday and I'm having toast now to see what I think
    What 1.4 d&d, possibly 5k race
Why dropped car off for a problem and race is entered
Last hard running up hill from the car guy
    Last rest 28 12
Let you know what I decide, Pammie go well if I don't see you

Morning (not time for lunch yet?)

Good luck for LFOTM Pammie and hopefully Wabo too!

Hope the car is fixed quickly Wabo.

Is there not enough time for it to dry up a bit for the XC Ale?  Good work on the MLR yesterday.

What: 12m with 7 at uggh pace.  May well turn out to be uggh effort depending on where I run.
Why: Will ask myself that as well!
    Last rest: 23.11.2023

    Morning again!

Like the number, Wabo! Hopefully you will do it justice!

Hazel, the parks' department have called the XC off. They don't think that the course will recover by spring, which is exactly what I said to M78!

    What: 32 minutes d&d

    Why: ran to feel

    Wabo see you soon
    Great number

Hazel, could do with lunch too! Just in from 10m in allegedly 50mph winds but actually feels more like 30 and icy cold. No pentland firth ferries today but there is one tonight to Aberdeen, won't be comfortable, will be 2 hours longer than usual due to weather and won't leave until 1am. Added to that there are no cabins left so will be no sleep either. But maybe the best option.
Good luck to our 2 racers today, run well in the wind!
Hope the poorly are better soon.
    Lrics, yes I think so!

Looks like well done to number 1 and Pammie! Look forward to the accounts!

    Travel well, Els!

Glad I went!! Best 5k this year, you just never do know do you. I really forced myself today, also had a 1.3 run to get an earlier train as I didn't have my car

Super - well done Wabo!  Nice progression and a decent final sprint too by the looks of it.

Doesn't sound like it will be pleasant travelling Els.  Hmm but I recall you will have to pay for the accomodation anyway.  Good luck with it if you go.

Need to take a leaf out of Wabo's book and get out there in a bit!

Nice one, Wabo! Looks like the warm up without the car helped! A strong last mile! Was that the first time that you have run LFOTM? And good that you met up with Pammie!

    Hiya
Wabo - well done at the LFOTM, hope Pammie had a good run.
Ale - xc cancelled already? Isn’t it supposed to be wet!!
That said the last Sunday league was touch and go , more so because of parking - not possible in a drenched field.
Our County fixture is cancelled : no host so no fixture 😞
Hazel - streak sort of happening, but I’m sure there will be a day soon I can’t run..
last Monday was just 2 miles.

What : 5 miles around the island
    why : getting out
    last rest : 21/09
last hard : yesterdays longer one I guess
lyric : oh yes. Great song!

    Evening

    Wabo you ran really well.
Great to meet up again and to see Dipps. Also great to see Sharkie  which  was a surprise.
Didn't have a good start shoelace came undone  at the start doesn't normally happen.  Hands were too cold to tie properly so they came undone again

Breathing  was heavy  at start Didn't calm down until the 2nd lap
Finished unofficially 31:50 about 40 seconds  slower than recent parkruns
But each mile quicker than last

    Next time

Well done too Pammie! Annoying regarding the laces.

Shame about the XC fixture Dustin.

My hard effort over 11k got done, pace wasn't great but I did what I could. Gentle up bit on my loop against the wind was tough, down again with a tailwind wasn't enough to compensate. Getting better at controlling the head demons which is good.

Pammie you did good, laces coming undone messes things up.
Can you get dips to send the photos, my mate wants to see, she's a serpie runner on rw
