I don't see any Yes cashed, no to bequeathed.
Either:
1) Coincidence - all who bequeathed got places, all who didn't didn't or...
2) They've just cashed the bequeathed ones anyway, and places have yet to be decided - i.e. some of the No's will turn into yesses, some of the yesses will be no to a place
I suspect 2 is the more likely - I don't recall hearing anything elsewhere about ones that were cashed who hadn't bequeathed, but I could be wrong
Not sure what to conclude to that.
I have been told that if you are a non-bequeather and your cheque has been cashed than you should have a place as otherwise they return the cheque. For bequeathers, I expect that the cheque being cashed means nothing with respect to a place.

1st year didn't bequeath and got a place, 2nd year bequeathed didn't get a place, 3rd year didn't bequeath and didn't get a place, so I don't think the bequeathing has anything to do with it. As for this year both myself and my wife applied(her 1st time)and we both bequeathed and both of our cheques have been cashed, who knows, do your training anyway - and do what i do - get yourself a place with a charity as a backup its only £1500 to raise
2.No
3. Didn't check and I had bequeathed, so couldn't tell if it was straight away or through the second raffle.

3. Didn't bequeath last year, didn't get in.

3. Didn't enter 2002, can't remember what happened in 2001, other than that I bequeathed and didn't get a place (but got a Gold Bond one).....
£1500 can be made easly, I did it last year. What you do is send all your friends and family a sponsor form or 2 each and get them to fill it with their friends and colleagues.
Get a JustGiving Website, I got over £700 from that alone. I thought that £1500 was going to be a bigger challenge than running the race, but very quickly when I devided it into small amounts it was very achievable.
I was also working full time, and had to fit in traing, money raising, and work!!!
If I was still working fulltime I would find it easy too - but when you are forced to give up work due to an unexpected disabilty and, due to your solitary nature (which you are very happy with BTW) you find the half dozen non-runners you have contact with are not going to be able to sponsor more than a £5 each - whcih makes about £100 in my case.
Still - I am not ruling it our but would be looking for something a lot less than £1500
(-:
With regard to raising sponsership funds it is OK asking friends/family/collegues once or twice but they soon get fed up sponsering you year in year out and it becomes harder to collect the money.

Last year there was a theory going round that they don't cash the bequeathed cheques until later, so that being cashed now meant you were in. I am not sure that it is right, although it worked for both my wife and me. The real question is whether anyone who bequeathed last year had their cheque cashed at this time of year, but didn't get in.
My cheque was cashed yesterday, but I find it hard to believe I could have got in 4 years in a row on the ballot.
