this is actually the best time of the year to take up early training due to the light mornings - all you need do is set your alarm 10-15mins earlyer every other days until you are getting up at a time that allows you to train then maintain getting up at that time - the body will gt use to it
even 30-40mins of light training on a morning sets you up for the day
Not an early riser here, hate getting up early. Do my swim sessions at lunchtime and long sessions in the evening, though have to get up around 8.00 at weekends to join some of the organised long rides with TeamMK/MKCC
Very late trainer - Struggle to get up early in the morning - and with 3 kids and a wife to keep happy I find going out after everyone has gone to bed to be most satisfactory. This has resulted in some wierd sessions when I have been preparing for an ultra where I have had the eerie experience of running over the hills at 12 and 1 in the morning. (On that basis - perhaps I am an early morning runner -hmmm)
I have to fit in training where I can - I'm up at latest 5am on weekdays anyway because I have to exercise the dogs before work, I start at 7am and have a 35min drive to get there in time. Only 30 mins lunch so no time for a swim then. So - I have to get up even earlier (which I sometimes do)to run and do bike/swim training late in the evenings. Throwing out time at the pool is 9.30pm so plenty of time to get in 2000 or 3000m
I like to train late, its nice and peaceful with no one around and my local pool seems to be empty from 9 onwards some nights. The sport I did before was based on fixed sessions at night so I think I got into a sort of late trainer bodyclock thing. I hate going to bed as well so any excuse not to. But I can't get into the swing of early morning. As soon as I am up theres always something and the pools around here are chokka in the mornings.
I taught martial arts for 20 years and our sessions usually went from 8:30 to 11 due to the times we could get the sports hall. I got into the habit of training late. running at midnight or turboing from 11 to 1. The pool at tonbridge quite close to me used to be open till 11 which was nice. no one around to bump into. I just don't like going to bed because there is always something to do. I can't change my picture there is a website problem. I think the sudden rush of everyone changing pictures overloaded the system. Lets do it again.

I can see you've never been a fat girlie, Will. The idea is to train in the DARK so no one can point and laugh.

(I would ask why you hate going to bed, but that would be intrusive, so I shan't)
