Whoever said running was a simple low tech sport was clearly living in the stoneages.
MrsH bought me a Nike SDM for my birthday which combined with my HRM, Petzl headtorch and expensive high tech running gear means I may not be able to run a marathon for toffee but at least I'll now be able to run whenever, wherever and in whatever conditions I like AND be accuratley aware of by how much I'm slowing down and when I'm going to have a heart attack.
In fact it now takes me so long to get dressed ready for a run and to analyse the data afterwards that I may have to cut out the exercise altogether!
