I will be doing it for the 3rd time and would recommend this one to everyone, well run and very friendly. Looking for a sub 3:30 time this year but the training has been interrupted with injuries and business trips so more realistic is 3:45. Brady I would suggest that you start slowly and take it as easy as possible on the hill, leave something for the last 3 miles on the tarred road to the changeover. The bike is relatively downhill but the last 5 miles is a wee bit undualting and that last 500 metres - OWWWWW! Main thing is have fun and see you at the ceilidh.
Thanks mountaingoat - won't see you for dust as you will be well ahead of me! Not sure what time to expect as I think until you've done it you'll never know. Hopefully still be conscious by the ceilidh - might even manage a dance!
