Hi,
I'm just back to running after a 4 month lay-off following knee surgery (cartilage) and ITB problems.
Physio has said "start with 10 minutes" and build up from there.
I can run 15 minutes on the treadmill (faster than before the injury..weird but true), 5-7 minutes on the road (harder surface tougher on the knees).
Before injury I was running up to 12 miles in training....that's clearly off the agenda...
...but does anyone have a good "recovery" schedule? After such a long break should I go back to a novice schedule? Help...please
Cheers, Hedgehog

I came back from a bit of a lay off with injury a few months ago but probably not as serious as yours.
I wouldnt worry too much about schedules initially - more of a suck it and see, but defo keep seeing your physio regularly. Can your physio suggest some program?
WRT schedules, no doubt your physio has given you re-hab excercises and stretching - do these religiously.
