Always manage a fast run here but never quite as fast as I feel it should be. I recently set my PB at Cranfield (21.59)which has some undulations but best at Bedford is 22:43 (7th all time) and usually low 23s. So PBs are possible but not necessarily as straighforward as you might think.
Good race tonight, pretty much perfect conditions, if a little humid. Good to meet you, Dr G.
Was very slightly disappointed with my result - ran it well but missed getting a PB by only about half a second! Was also quite annoyed by the guy who sat just behind my shoulder for almost the entire race - not only was he drafting off me, but was making the most godawful groaning noises on every step! And then he beat me in the sprint finish - grrrr!
Still, a pretty good result, so I'm quite pleased with it really. Very well organised though, and fantastic cakes afterwards!
Likewise Venom - and M (I gave you a shout - well croak - in the finish straight - how did you do?)
21.44 by my watch which is a PB by 6 seconds. Went off to quickly in the first 2k so think there is room for improvement there later in the season - probably when it is cooler, so back to Stevenage for their excellent 5k series.
Good run this for me. I PBd for the course at 22.11 on my watch. Stangely I noted that my official time was 21.56. Strange because getting an official slower time is usual if you aren't in the front of the starting line-up but I don't know how they managed to take 15 seconds off my time unless I didn't stop my watch properly.
The Stevenage wineter 5Ks are certainly good and see some of you there.

I'm number 177, M. is number 178. Quite a coincidence, eh?
Jogging from home to the park as my warm up (and cool down). Hoping to go under 21.51 as would mean a PB.
