They wouldn't be Bakewell ones in Plymouth, would they?
You'd all have loved the hotel I stayed in last night. A veritable castle from Norman times, buckets of history, now recently refurbished with very modern bedrooms, yet seriously characterful main hall. Food was OK. I noticed a local offering: Rattler. I'll have a pint of that please, and drink to his health. It was a surprise to discover that it was cider, but pleasant all the same.
No run, but did get to swim in the big new pool in town.
Cornish Rattler is currently my favourite cider, Blisters. You can get it in bottles in Wetherspoons, but I bet draught would be nicer. When the fashion is for making sweeter ciders, I like that this one isn't following the trend.
Good news on the Rattler (TMI?) The toilet didn't smell of apples in the morning.

Dinner was a classic and basic from Italy: pasta con sardines. Beautiful. A glas or three of wine to accompany. Why? Because Thursday is the new Friday.
Got a parcel today, with lots of floaty things like froggy floats and flippers. They are supposed to be training aids, but look like a set of bath toys.
Did a few lengths earlier, I'm sure that drinking chlorinated water is good for purifying your insides. It's all good time in the water.
I must report that we had a tribute dessert today, Donna Summer Pudding. Wifey is wanting to bring the better weather on by cooking it here. The rain soaked BBQ last week was an attempt.
50 miles cycled with the Tri Group - the second grade group - done at a good lick of speed, probably 19/20mph on the road. I'm glad I didn't try and go off with Group 1, I'd still be out there in some gutter. When I got home I was on such a high, it was a surprise, I must have got exactly tired enough. Using the impressive logic above, seeing as we started and finished at the same place, why did I go out at all?
Hi, I don't normally post in this thread but I know SOLB does. She hasn't been around for a couple days and I just wanted to see if anyone knew if she was ok.

Busy day travelling and shopping. Fish pie in the oven and G&T in my hand. If Carlsberg made evenings .....

I'll see if trhere is any Rattler down the road. If it's cask it maybe.
I like dry ciders, Biddendens and Chiddingstone - both Kentish. I seem to prefer Kentish ciders.
If anyone wants a mamoth cider tasting fest.
Busy day today. I need to make a cake, collect a parcel from the post office, see the doctor, and get a huge swim in.
Good luck Blisters,
Today i am mostly attending a bookmaking course
Cake is in the oven and it smells wonderful!
lol TP,
I now know how to be a bookmaker and take lots of money off of people.
LOL CP!

I got a parcel today too Blisters. It was my Maxim for long distance swimming. Tried it out in todays session and got on well with it.
The session was a 5 mile swim with a 90 min rest and then a 3 mile swim. Chuffed to bits as it went perfectly.
Was that a few lengths in the bath with your new toys Blisters? I keep thinking that a paddling pool would be a good idea, just need some sun.
Morning all
You do know there's a ferry don't you?
Lovely parkrun weather this morning, saw Nicko running, I was just marshalling, was good fun
Lol, CP. So why do you run instead of taking the bus?

I'm doing a swim tomorrow that doesn't start and end at the same place, although both the start and the end are by a pub.
I'm sure she's fine by 'eck.
