Well, after a dismal run last Sunday and several indifferent ones during the week, I decided to take it easy at the Wokingham Half and see how it felt. So was well pleased with a comfortable 1:46 and feeling strong throughout.
Everyone else on schedule?
I see myself as more of a Thames barge.
Hope everyones training is going well.
Looking forward to my debut marathon.
Gee i was running on the cliff path which runs along the course and i could barely keep any sort of speed up!

Running in and around the st austell area.
Three weeks to go by my reckoning. A nice nearly three-hour plod along the Thames today, spotting herons, cormorants, jays, red kites, the usual swans and ducks, and a muntjac deer en route. Sunny but bitter northerly wind which somehow managed to be a headwind all the way - how does this happen?
I will be doing the 20 miles - and it will be my longest run to date. I think I will do it as an LSR though for Taunton marathon training, not a race, so will be bringing up the rear. But please add me to the list anyway!
Just realised that it's multiple laps - wonder how many times I'll be lapped then ? :-)

Training going well with no injuries or shin splints so far (touch wood). Picked up training now to five times a week (three running, two circuit training) with some early morning runs/cycles. Did my longest run yesterday on Sunday morning in glorious sunshine - a 12mile road run, and I fealt great for it with my legs not aching too much afterwards. Body hasn't fealt better, and I'm feeling much brighter and alive/positive. Month to go now until the Duchy race so aiming to increase mileage to the 20, then a month after that to warm down to the marathon. Here's hoping...
Fundraising is proving hard, but am slowly getting there. Having my legs waxed in work tomorrow which Im dreading. Fundraising link is:

I take a slug of it the moment I feel a tickly throat or sinus. I'm no fan of alternative beards 'n' sandals hippy tree-hugging therapies, but Echinacea does work for me. Either that or it's coincidence that I've not had a cold in years.
By way of consolation - in the past I often set pbs after a forced layoff.
I hope to be doing the full 26 on 13th March but am a bit concerned cos I sent the application form off weeks ago but have not yet seen any acknowledgment it was received.
Has anyone received their number or do we pick it up on the day ?
