Miserable weather here in Notty-land - how's Wales? Talking of Wales (this one's for Parddu, who's actually met my Dad(!)) - he is sad because he didn't get elected as president of the Welsh Rugby Union....
Dentist was all right - had an x-ray and a dollop of extra strong fluoride on 2 teeth. Biggest problem was finding somewhere to park!! Not an unusual problem but haven't seen it this bad for ages. Ended up parking on the street in a 30 min limit area but got to dentist, got treated and got back within the 30 mins.
{{{{{Notty's Dad}}}}}. WRU needs someone with a grain of sense in his head. Maybe a woman should stand for election???????
LOL re. woman president for WRU, Parddu - can you imagine???! Never mind, Kevin Rowlands, who got it, will no doubt do a good job (just hasn't spent the last three years supporting smaller clubs, like my old man...)
Glad the dentist was OK - and it must be a record re. time!
Got any races planned? I definitely want to do the Atlantic College 10k again, and hopefully improve my time. Not till February, so lots of time to train.
I know a lot of you are going to be doing the Windsor Half on 26 Sept (and I will be there to support) but for those of you who aren't and who can get to Croydon, there's a great 5 miler on Saturday 25 Sept that my club are organising. There's a thread over on events for the Switchback 5 - and don't be put off, the hills aren't too bad and the woods are lovely to plod through.
No races planned apart from staggering round Flora Light and GNR. I'll see how the fitness goes and may consider the Atlantic College 10K as it looked a nice race - and downhill on the way to the finish!!
Sorry, Floosie - a bit too far for me. Used to have rellies in Croydon (well, Orpington) but they're dead now. Where are your family when you need them? Tsk...
Notty, sorry to hear about your Dad, but, IMHO helping the small clubs is going to do Welsh rugby far more good than importing loads of Aussies and Kiwis whose grannies once had a bowl of leek soup
not that I'm cynical about national qualifications or anything, but if they were any good they'd be playing for their own national teams
in the interests of balancer, I know the Scots are at least as bad

Notty - your Dad can be very proud of his work with the smaller clubs. Much more worthwhile than being top dog.
Your club's race sounds good - hope you enjoy it.
Can't tempt you to Croydon then? Even for a 2:30 start?
and yet it sounds perfick - a late start so can stay in bed and chill
Life is so cruel sometimes
I managed to get "lurk" in on the A NEW THREAD thing
:@)
i would send you to the naughty step but that would just mean you posted less
<tampers with GL's internet connections so she can only access this thread>
