ive just entered this challenge. im wondering if ive underestimated the degree of difficulty envolved. has anyone done this race? am i mad to have entered?
im officially in tough guy training gggrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!
oh i get it, sorry should have guessed, never know with forums, people use all sorts of stupid abbreviations, I am not doing it, too many people, not hard enough and too much money.
Hi Ken, Just read you message. TG is okay. I've done it a few years back and live a few miles from where it's held. The advice I'd give is get a lot of upper body training in as well as the running. Stamina is very important. As is a good sense of humour. Changing facilities are basic. Everyone in a barn. Don't expect any mod cons at all. A cuppa and a silver blanket is all you get at the end. Get some people to go with you for support and maybe pass on any drinks you may need en route to the finish. There's loads of mud! It's a great sense of acheivement when you finish. If your overall fitness is okay you'll get round the course okay. Have fun!
