Hi Keith, nice to have met you. I must admit I did look back with a mile to go and saw you catching me up and fully expected you to catch me in the final stretch. That final hill was a killer and I've never been to a race before where so many people started to walk with the finishing line in view. Maybe we'll run together at Windsor as my target is 8mkh or 1:44
I am well hacked off.I have some jpegs but they're just a bit too big and I can't paste them into my picture box. Can anyone help? Don't think my picture is as nice as newrunner, though!
The thread we are on about is the one about thinking of sex whilst running and thinking about running whilst having sex(?). I think it's under 'General'.
Blue Knees - saw youby the portaloos just before the start! Wolf/DW - I usually circuit around the inner circle for short runs - or on longer runs enter opposite the track and then run down past the "sporty fields" and aim to get lost...via the fountains, back of the zoo - anywhere just to clock up some miles! - but not at lunchtimes I'm afraid! If either of you fancy helping me out after work once it gets dark and runnign with me - I would be most grateful!
New Runner - By the portaloo's!! That's going to do nothing for my reputation today. Was I with RB at the time or on the way up to the starting line with Snoop
Now this is a blow cos The Theale race is at 11.30 but I have to be in Tadworth, Surrey by 3pm to watch Bracknell Town FC's league match against Epsom!!! Let me think, race 11.30-12.10, 5 mins warm down, 15mins back to Bracknell, shower 12.40-12.41, hairgel 12.41-13.30. DAMN I think thats pushing it! We'll have to see.
I don't often run in London after work, but I would appreciate the company from time to time (I run on my own at lunchtime) so I may well join you at some point. What sort of time constitutes 'after work'?
Blue Knees,
Hills?!?!?! Sadly, I'm not going to be able to make it now - just reading your post has made my ankle flare up so I won't be able to see those hills, oh dear, what a shame, enjoy it anyway... ;-) Actually, this is going to be Mrs DW's first EVER race in preparation for Windsor and I've got a feeling it's going to be a bit of a baptism of fire as she isn't a big fan of hills (who is, apart from Swiss Bobby!?) I will keep that information from her for now I think!!! Would be great to see you again anyway. Let me know where you plan to be before and/or after if you fancy meeting up.
Excellent by the look of it there are five of us now
Dog Walker and Mrs DW Redhead Jeffsy Blue Knees.
Its a small field so no trouble meeting up. I've seen a picture of Jeffsy so can probably recognise you and I guess Redhead might be easy to spot as well. I'll start a new thread tomorrow.
DW - after work means about 7.30ish? I'm no racer though - about 9 and a half minute miles... BK - I dont think you hang around portaloos,i know you do.
Comments
I was after 1:45 but would have settled for anything under 1:50, in the end I was sub 1:46 so pretty pleased with myself, PB by 2 minutes
Good to see you BK, I almost caught you at the end but I to was bought to a walk up the last hill:(
RB, good to have met you and Mrs RB, hopefully next time will get to meat a few more of the gang.
I hope to run Windsor so will keep an eye open for you all, and I may even get to meet with NR in NY!
Keith

I guess it takes all sorts.
You can add your thoughts to the thread;-)
BTW, Keith, nice to have met you too. Look forward to Windsor.
of course i was very fatigued, it was hot so guess what...it went badly
some fools just do not learn
I'm a Regent's Park runner as well! I'm normally out at lunchtime (between 1 and 2 O'clock). Where do your routes take you?
DW
RB - I was actaully on about your involvement with the Womens Bra thread.
WWR-Well at least you're capable of 4.5 miles today which is more than I am. Take it easy!
Jeffsy. Pictures in the post!
